Religion What Is It

I was reading an article about a group called “Freedom From Religion”, it was about a group that freed people from the hold God had on them. Thus my question “Religion What Is It”. The thing that got me about this group is first I do not think they understand what they are wishing to do. God has never forced anyone to follow Him, He wishes all would however He has given us all a free will.
First let us take a look at the word RELIGION and the DEFINITION of said word. The belief in and worship of a god or gods, or any such system of belief and worship. Worship of a god not only THE GOD our God but any god, any system of belief and worship.
Examples of Religion
- Many people turn to religion for comfort in a time of crisis.
- There are many religions, such as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism.
- Shinto is a religion that is unique to Japan.
- Hockey is a religion in Canada.
- Politics are a religion to him.
- Where I live, high school football is religion.
- Food is religion in this house.
Now religion is not only of God. The said organization that I am refereeing to has three words in its name and two contradict each other Freedom and Religion. It is a religion for it is a group of people with one belief that is to try to remove God out of some others life. No one needs help to do that all they have to do is walk away again the freedom of choice steps in. All have that freedom, God wishes we all would however He wishes us to come to Him and love Him in our own free will. What is Organization actually about is they do not like God and they wish to remove it from others, and the defeated one has been trying that for years… I have a message for them AIN’T GOING TO HAPPEN.
I have been asked many times if I am a religious man and my answer has always been NO. I am not wrapped up in religion, I am saved, covered, blessed, protected, loved and taken care of by the grace of God. I am deeply in love with my Savior. We need to become believers of God not of man or his religious beliefs the Bible is very clear in what is written in it. We are to work out our own salvation we find in the book of Philippians. Philippians 2:12 So that, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
We are to not forsake the fellowship as found in Hebrews 10:25 (NIRV) Let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us cheer each other up with words of hope. Let us do it all the more as you see the day coming when Christ will return. we are to come together it help each other and by doing this we sill grow. Matthew 18:19-20 (NIRV) 19 “Again, here is what I tell you. Suppose two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for. My Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 Where two or three people meet together in my name, I am there with them.”
As Christians we are to come together to help one another. A good example is: you have a vehicle and it needs gas to take you anywhere. However you choose to not stop at a filling station (gas station) and get gas. What happens if you choose to go on? You run out of gas and stop going anywhere. Well if you decide to back away from the fellowship and try to stand on your own guess what, that’s right you run out of gas you stop reading the bible as much you stop praying as much and that is why these verses are there. Ephesians 5:11 (NIRV) Have nothing to do with the acts of darkness. They don’t produce anything good. Show what they are really like. 1 John 1:6 (NIRV) Suppose we say that we share life with God but still walk in the darkness. Then we are lying. We are not living by the truth.
So let us not get all wrapped up in religion let’s get all wrapped up in God. We should stand together and serve God. Religion is a man-made thing and we are to search the scripture and see what God says not just some man. I think and believe that we need to be prayed up and walking with our Savior and then let us study the word 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIRV) Do your best to please God. Be a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed. Teach the message of truth correctly. This way we can teach and instruct our families. The head of the household needs to be the head. I know that sometimes there is no man there for whatever reason, be it divorce or death or just not there. However we need to except where we are and do what needs to be done. So we as Christians need to start doing as we have been told and God will take care of us.
