Requirements to be a full fledged Christian. Is that a true statement, is there requirements? Well I think it is time for all who say they are Christians to examine themselves and decide. I can name a few right off the top of my head… However today we are looking at 1 John 2:15-17
1 John 2:15-17 (MEV) 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 The world and its desires are passing away, but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
Requirement #1
Do not love the world or the things in it…
Requirement #2
If one loves the things of the world the love of the Father is not in him.
Requirement #3
Can not have the lust of the flesh
Requirement #4
Can not have lust of the eyes
Requirement #5
Can not have the pride of life
Why We Can Not Have These Things
Because this world and its desires are passing away…
By doing the will of our Father we will live forever in Heaven one day…
My prayer today is that we all take a stand for our Father and what Jesus did for us… I will leave you with this thought, God our Father gave His ONLY begotten son, Jesus His Son gave His life at Calvary on a cross… What have you gave? Think about it Jesus gave ALL for you is it time that we started giving back!
