Stand Fast

1 Thessalonians 3:7-8 (NKJV) 7 therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith. 8 For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.
Now this was written by Timothy to the Thessalonians. However it is true today how do we stand fast by our faith, by knowing the word of God in our Bibles. We do that by our faith, comes by hearing, and learning, Sane story different title. We get Gods Grace because of what Jesus has done for us and we speak it and read it and hear it thus comes our faith.
Let us use something that we need and have [I do not at this time] a vehicle I have seen and heard this time after time. “I do not like Ford because my dad’s dad’s dad bought on and it was nothing but problems.” Or then there is the child I don’t like those green beans– have you ever tasted them? No– then how do you know you don’t like them? Before someone can say they do not like God they need to give Him a try.
I have said for years to someone like that. Why not give God a try for a while and if you do not like Him or what He says satan will take you back. Or this one “I do not believe there is a God.” Well you know let us say you are correct there is no God no Heaven or hell. I lost nothing I lived a good clean life and helped other however let us say I am right. There is a Heave and a hell– you just lost everything. I think that is where the statement comes in– better safe than sorry.
So by faith we live if and stand fast in the knowledge of our Lord. Because the authors of the Bible has written it all down for us. All I am saying is we need to learn the WORD and use the WORD and believe the WORD then we can TRUST the WORD then we can stand fast in the Lord!
