1 Corinthians 9:14 (MEV) In the same way, the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

I feel the thing taken from this passage is, not that the Christian ministry is of a sacrificial character as the Jewish priesthood, but simply, that as the Ministry was to be supported by the contributions of the people, so should the former. The a periodic payment to a Minister were at first from voluntary offerings. Every believer, according to his ability, offered a gift; and when the expense of the Ministry had been taken care of, then the Minister put aside part for himself, the rest was given to the widows, orphans, and the poor usually.

It is not new for a Shepherd, or Preacher, or Minister to meet with unkind returns for good-will to a people, and diligent and successful services among them. To the objection of some, Paul answers by, setting himself up as an example of self-denial, for the good of others. AHe had a right to marry as well as other, and to claim what was needful for his wife, and his children if he had any, from the churches, without laboring with his own hands to get it. Those who seek to do the souls of others good, should have food provided for them. But he renounced his right, rather than hinder his success by claiming it. It is the people’s duty to maintain their Minister. He may wave his right, as Paul did; and choose go beyond the limits sat by a precept of Christ, and due support.

The price of everything is going up and up and up, and the money is not I have received less than $40 raise in the last 9 years and President Trump gave me $20 of that. Things that used to be free are now pay and most have deals for Annual payments and we just do not have hundreds of dollars to do those, and the monthly is outrageous so we have had to drop a large amount of things. I do not wish for this to sound like a begging or a guilt trip. This all is factual and the truth…
