The Supreme Court And Its Duties

The. Supreme Court upheld a lower court’s ruling that a family-run pharmacy must give abortion-inducing drugs to customers. The Storman’s family in Washington originally fought to be able to refer out abortion pills like Plan B to other nearby pharmacies, out of their Christian convictions.

The Supreme Court And Its Duties

Is it time for Christians to become outraged yet? Is it time to stop with the luck warm Christianity and get some backbone. Or is it time to lay down and let the Bible be trampled into the ground.

I was reading once about MicroSoft and a court case and the attorney made a good point.  What he said was (I am not quoting him word for word)  what you are telling us(MicroSoft) we must do is like telling The Coke Cola Co that because they are selling more Cokes than Pepsi that from now on The Coke Company must put one Pepsi in every six-pack of Coke.  Where do the courts get off telling owners of businesses what they can and can not do?

A business can choose what they desire to sell however they can not decide who they sell it to.  If I own my own business I have a God given right to buy and sell what I desire to sell.  They are a court not a God they are to uphold the constitution not make up rules as they go.  I am a Christian and I am proud of it and according to what I read in the Bible

I do not like to read I have bad eyes have had all my life however I think after this one can see I do read if I have to.  First I think there should be a specific number of  Judges picked by the Citizens of the United States of America.  Not by Congress completely.  We have seen what Congress has turned into it is all about them and nothing about “We The People”  It is time for some “We The People” to wake up

The United States Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, and one of its main duties is to decide the outcome of cases. As the Supreme Court is the highest court, all decisions and outcomes are final and a case that goes to the Supreme Court must first pass through many other courts. The Supreme Court has the power to investigate, question and overturn cases that were decided in lower courts

The Supreme Court can also judge the actions of federal, state and local governments. If the Supreme Court feels that another area of government is acting unconstitutionally, they may investigate. Due to the powers of separation in the U.S. government, however, the Supreme Court does not have the ability to act completely on its own. The members of the Supreme Court are appointed by the president but must be approved by Congress. While the Supreme Court has the power to judge laws of Congress, it requires congressional approval in order to function.

The Supreme Court has a special role to play in the United States system of government. The Constitution gives it the power to check, if necessary, the actions of the President and Congress.

It can tell a President that his actions are not allowed by the Constitution. It can tell Congress that a law it passed violated the U.S. Constitution and is, therefore, no longer a law. It can also tell the government of a state that one of its laws breaks a rule in the Constitution.

The Supreme Court is the final judge in all cases involving laws of Congress, and the highest law of all — the Constitution.

The Supreme Court, however, is far from all-powerful. Its power is limited by the other two branches of government. The President nominates justices to the court. The Senate must vote its approval of the nominations. The whole Congress also has great power over the lower courts in the federal system. District and appeals courts are created by acts of Congress. These courts may be abolished if Congress wishes it.

The Supreme Court is like a referee on a football field. The Congress, the President, the state police, and other government officials are the players. Some can pass laws, and others can enforce laws. But all exercise power within certain boundaries. These boundaries are set by the Constitution. As the “referee” in the U.S. system of government, it is the Supreme Court’s job to say when government officials step out-of-bounds.

Supreme Court Background

Article III of the Constitution establishes the federal judiciary. Article III, Section I states that “The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.” Although the Constitution establishes the Supreme Court, it permits Congress to decide how to organize it. Congress first exercised this power in the Judiciary Act of 1789. This Act created a Supreme Court with six justices. It also established the lower federal court system.

The Justices

Over the years, various Acts of Congress have altered the number of seats on the Supreme Court, from a low of five to a high of 10. Shortly after the Civil War, the number of seats on the Court was fixed at nine. Today, there is one Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices of the United States Supreme Court. Like all federal judges, justices are appointed by the President and are confirmed by the Senate. They, typically, hold office for life. The salaries of the justices cannot be decreased during their term of office. These restrictions are meant to protect the independence of the judiciary from the political branches of government.

The answer to both questions is found in the beginning of the Bible, in Genesis. “…and Rebekah his [Isaac’s] wife conceived. And the children struggled together within her…” (Genesis 25:21-22). Note that Rebekah’s unborn twins, Jacob and Esau, are referred to as “children” (the Hebrew word used, banim, plural of ben), commonly refers to children after birth, and often has a more specific meaning “sons.” The New Testament uses the usual Greek word for baby, brephos, to refer to the unborn John the Baptist, who “leaped in her [Elizabeth’s] womb” because of the presence of the unborn Christ (Luke 1:41-44). Unborn babies are not disposable clumps of tissue, despite the claims of many pro-abortionists. And they are always human right from fertilization because all the DNA coding needed to build each individual’s physical features is there in the fertilized egg. It is absolutely false that the developing human goes through any fish or reptile stage, despite some blatantly fraudulent evolutionary claims.

I am not talking about the abortions pill if it were cigarettes there would not be a word said.  If they didn’t want to sell alcohol there would be no problem however because they do not wish to sell the abortion pill they are told they must or….  This is a joke.  The Supreme court is a joke.  It is no different than banning guns to stop people from killing people.  There are more people killed by drunk drivers than by guns however, there is  no one wanting to ban cars or booze.  This whole thing has nothing to do with right or wrong is about the world and what they can do as the Supreme Court.

I know this is not about God and it is not about prayer however it is about what the world is wanting to do to Christians.   If we get rid of the Christians and the Bible then we will not feel guilty about what we do.  True maybe, however, one is still going to hell so I will say it now if you are happy going to hell if you believe it our not.  Every day one is here is one day closer to finding out if there is a Heaven or a hell.  My question is let us say there is not a Heaven or a hell will I lived a good and a happy life and lost nothing.  Then let us say there is a Heaven and a hell as atheist or just plain none believers, you just lost everything and my question is are you that big of a gambler?

One more thing before I go if there is no God as the atheist say then why are they spending millions of dollars trying to get rid of anything that is about someone they do not believe even is.  There are tings I do not like I just do not do them.  Shows on TV I do not watch them.  Things on the computer I do not watch them… Pretty simple if you want and abortion pill go to a store that sells them I do not have to sell anything I do not wish to sell PERIOD…  America it is time to Bless God Again…
