The Rubber Has Met The Road

As far back as I can remember I have heard “This is where the rubber meets the road”, well I am sorry however “The rubber has met the road” It happened at Calvary when Jesus Christ said Luke 23:34 “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do”, Jesus said it all and did it all there that day that minute. You only have to except that gift of salvation no one can earn it. In fact no one deserves it however Jesus paid the price for all of us.

However we are to do something as well. We should spread the good news according to Matthew 28:19-20–  19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Now this is where a large amount of quote unquote Christians have a rough time, however if you read the verses slowly in fact read the whole chapter no where does it say Pastors or Leadership. If you are a Christian you are who He is talking to. We need to be disciples and be a witness to others.

I don’t know how is not an excuse for not doing it. If you have been saved then you can do it, if nothing else you can tell others what Jesus has done for you and that He can do it for others as well and WILL.

Then as you grow and study the word you will become more knowledgeable and use more scripture to witness. We do not have to witness to everyone however we do need to be ready to witness and we are always a witness. What kind of witness are you being to your unsaved family members, neighbors. enemies even strangers. We are witnesses 24/7 we are to be ready all the time.

A simple and easy way to lead someone to the Lord is what is known as the“Romans Road to Heaven” It is named after the book of Romans in your Bible. It makes it easy to do for it all is in one book of the Bible. You can even make some small tabs to follow marking them 1,2,3 etc. You may also tape a sinners prayer in the front or back of your Bible to help them pray. These are all things that will do away with a multitude of excuses.

First we all must realize that we all are sinners and that we all need forgiveness. We are not worthy of God’s grace.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.”

Second we all see that, through Jesus, God gives us all a way out so to speak, he gives us all a way to be saved and delivered from our sins and Hell.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Third we all needs to remember that remaining a sinner we all will have to pay the price by not excepting what Jesus did for us we will spend eternity in Hell.

However accepting what Jesus did for us all as our Lord and savior and repent of all our sins, He, God, will forgive us all and give us all eternal life in Heaven

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

It is a simple thing to do all one has to do is call upon the Lord and confess that one is a sinner and repent of those sins and you will be saved.

Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Are You Ready to Accept God’s Gift of Salvation? If you truly believe the message of the Roman Road, and want to accept God’s gift of salvation right now, it’s a matter of repenting of your sins and turning the rest of your life over to Jesus Christ. Again, this is not a ritual based on any specific words or prayers, but rather, a willful decision and a sincere step of faith. If you would like I can and will lead you in a prayer.

Dear God I know and understand that I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from you.  I am truly sorry, and desire to repent of my past.  Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.  I believe that your son,  Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, now sitting at Your right hand and hears my prayer.  I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.  Please send your Holy Spirit to help guide me and obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’  name I pray– Amen.”

Once one has accepted they need to understand a few things.

One should:

  1. Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
  2. Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  3. Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  4. Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  5. Find a local church where you can worship God.

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
