Thinking More of Ourselves Because of Our Spiritual Gifts

Thinking we are more important than another Christian is foolish. We all have a duty and a place and they all are important in our Fathers eyes. As they should be in ours. The important thing is that we study and pray and find our place and do it.

Romans 12:3-5 (NKJV) 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

I read verse 5 twice before I got where I was going today. It almost sounded like double talk as I read it. We, being many are ONE body in Christ not 35,000 different bodies. So that makes me part of you and you part of me. I have a question how many of us pray for our Pastor daily, our Sunday School teacher. How about the greeters or even the ushers.

We need to be praying for the church body for we are the Church body. All of us make one body. Lest stop talking about that Body… I am not talking about a cults or false groups. I am speaking of Bible believing bodies. Lets stop with the we have it right not them. For each of us has a part to play together our body could be a finger or a finger nail.

Instead of denominations let us think of each other as a part of the Body of Christ so we all have a different job to do. If you went out today to a dealership and bought a brand new Car body. Could you drive it home? No, one must buy a complete car to be about to use it that is why there are many different types for they have different jobs they can do.

We need to stop talking about and start praying for. We need to pray for others to open there eyes and minds if they are in false teachers and get away and get into a part of the real body. Instead of talking about let us start praying for…

Verse 4 covers that… We do have many members in one body and we all do not have the same function.
Our Father and given to each of us a measure of Faith, and I think it is time we started to use it and stop worrying that so in so is not doing there part and just do our part…
