Trampling your pearls under foot by unsaved is a normal thing for them for all the unsaved can receive is the gospel of salvation. Sometime we get carried away with what the Lord has done in our lives and one who is lost does not understand our excitement.

Matthew 7:1-6 (NKJV) 1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

The first statement I read here is “judge not” None of us are perfect and can never live up to God’s standards. Thus Jesus came into the picture. However judging is a big problem in the church today. It seems that we feel better when we think we are better than some other person. We are all sinners saved by grace.

The next one is the speck in your brother’s eye. I used to say you can tell me how dirty my garage is when you get yours all nice and clean. Again sinners saved by grace… It’s amazing then we come with do not give what is Holy to the dogs nor cast your pearls before swine. This is a little deeper than the rest of this scripture. Repeatedly sharing the gospel with someone who continually scoffs and ridicules Christ is like casting pearls before swine. We can identify such people through discernment, which is given in some measure to all Christians 1 Corinthians 2:15-16.

A good reference is “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, Matthew 10:14 shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town”. What we have to understand is everyone has a choice to make I accept Jesus I do not accept Jesus. That is their choice, and they have to live with their choice.  In closing  shall we work on stopping the trampling of our Fathers word under the pigs feet?
