A Valley full of bones and Ezekiel was right in the middle of them…  Why one might ask, why would our Lord do this?  I believe the word tells us that the bones were an example of a dry country.  That needed a savior and He was going to use Ezekiel to reach out to them…

Ezekiel 37:4-6 (MEV)

4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you so that you live. 6 And I will lay sinews upon you and will grow back flesh upon you and cover you with skin and put breath in you so that you live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”

I think I will start this Devotional out with a song by a group called Austins Bridge  Dry Bones

Was Ezekiel being tested by our Father to see if he believed? I can not say yes however reading the story I feel that it was a test to see if Ezekiel was what he was suppose to be.

First There Was A Question

We see these words in verse 3  “Son of man, can these bones live?”

He Was Told To Do What

Why was He  told to go to this valley and prophesy over this valley of bones?  Verse 4 Prophesy over these bones… Now think about that Ezekiel was standing in a valley full of bones—and our Father tells him to prophesy over this bones.

Why Was This Done

We find the answer in verse 6 (b) “Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”

What we are seeing here is God showing who he is and he is wishing to wake up the Israelites. And the story goes on and on and on some get it some have not get it yet. I do hope you get out of this devotional what I am trying to say “We Need To Learn To Trust Our Lord For Everything”
