Walking Sitting or Standing With Sin What Does The Bible Say?

Acts 2:38-39 (MEV) 38 Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

There are a couple of things that I want you to see here First is who is speaking. Peter, just a few days before Jesus told Peter that he would deny him 3 times before the morning. Peter said never will I deny you. However, we read this in Matthew 26:34 (MEV) 34 Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” Then we read in Psalm 1:1 (MEV) Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;

Now let us look at what Peter was doing, Mark 14:66-72 (MEV) 66 While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came. 67 When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You also were with Jesus of Nazareth.” 68 But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” Then he went out to the porch, and a rooster crowed. 69 The servant girl saw him again and began to say to those who stood by, “This man is one of them.” 70 But again, he denied it. A little while later, those who stood by said again to Peter, “Surely, you are one of them. For you are a Galilean, and your speech confirms it.” 71 Peter began to invoke a curse on himself, and to swear, “I do not know this Man of whom you speak.” 72 And the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And when he thought on this, he wept.  We read that he wept however I think he ran away did not walk for he knew what walking with sin got him.  See walking with sin in our lives is the problem

Now some time later I will ask again, who was preaching. Peter the same Peter that denied Jesus is now standing strong and preaching what God and Jesus has done and 3000 + 120 = 3120 now this was done by someone just 50 days before denying Jesus not once, not two. Three times, however God knew his heart and knew he would and did repent. Also, I believe our God will do the same for us. In the devotionals before this I have talked about head knowledge and getting from the brain and into the heart. I have not read where it says believe in your mind and confess it with your mouth. It is the heart where it matters. We have way too many with all the head knowledge and no heart knowledge. There is a new day dawning and we need to get busy there are people in all of our lives that do not know Jesus. Is it time to get busy?
