The Wisdom of the Proverbs
Wisdom is the key word throughout the book of Proverbs , ” the ability to live life skillfully”. A godly life in an ungodly world, however, is no simple assignment. The book Proverbs provides God’s detailed instructions for His people to deal successfully with the practical affairs of everyday life; how to relate to God, parents, children, neighbors, and government.

We should always meditate on God’s word. Each time we come across something that is out of our control, the first thing we try to do is deal with it on our own. As we grow we will learn faster to lean on our Father and let him lead us. As we read in Psalms 55:16-17 (ESV) 16 ” As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. 17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud and HE shall hear my voice”.
I believe this should be the Christian Creed, found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-23 (ESV) here we find more wisdom as we read:
- 16 rejoice always”
- 17 Pray without ceasing”
- 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- 19 Do not quench the spirit”.
- 20 Do not despise prophecies”.
- 21 Test all things, hold fast what is good”.
- 22 Abstain (keep away) from every form of evil.”
- 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; & may your whole spirit , soul & body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

WHEN EVER YOU HAVE A CERTAIN THING TO DEAL WITH YOU CAN GO TO PROVERBS AND FIND AN ANSWER. A LONG TIME AGO I WAS ALWAYS FULL OF ANXIETY AND IT CAUSED ME TO GET ANGRY. SO I PRAYED, AND READ ALL THE VERSES THAT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH ANGER. ONE OF THEM SAID AN ANGRY MAN MAKES MISTAKES. SEE YOU CANT COLLECT YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOU COULD DO OR SAY SOMETHING YOU WOULD REGRET AND I STUDIED THEM UNTIL I GOT THE VICTORY. BUT GOD HELPED ME TOO!!
PROVERBS HELPS WITH A LOT OF TOPICS, GOOD WISDOM. OH I ALSO STUDIED VERSES ON ANXIETY. AND GOT RID OF THAT TOO!!
