Isaiah 61:1-2 (NKJV) 1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
This scripture was true in the Old Testament and is true today the difference is it is not a year of the Lord’s favor it is the Lord’s just the Lord’s favor for any who accept what Jesus did for us.
Jesus is the salvation of the world God loves everyone. He wishes that we all would repent however knowing that some will not. The enemy, the defeated one, is working 24/7 trying to kill, steal and destroy our spirit so we will not talk about it to others. So let this be your “Year of Salvation” and tell those around you about our Lord and what he did for us…
