Yesterday or Today
Is there really any difference between yesterday or today? Other than the electronics… Not really, I do know that our Lord is never changing as it says in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever…

When I started thinking about all this chilled ran down my spine. I started searching and reading and here is what I found. I will start with some history from the Bible and finish with some history of America today… A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves..
So again I feel that as time goes on and history is recorded we see things differently however they are still the same, history repeats itself. What I am talking about is what is going on around the world today. There is an enemy of God amongst us and due to our unwillingness to seek and fellow God this said enemy is running ramped through out this world, as it was before Jesus walked on this earth as a human being.
Let us Pause a moment and reflect.
Why is it happening why all the destruction? In the Old Testament we read of the destruction and the captivity. We read of the things that happened, (Yesterday) The destruction of Jerusalem… (Today) 9/11 The Twin Towers, and more and more however the reason is the same. Also the reasons of it happening are the same as well. What is that one would say?
Well in Nehemiah 9:26-31 is where what I will use to present what I am talking about.
Nehemiah 9:26-31 (NIV)
26 “But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies.
27 So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.
28 “But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in your sight. Then you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to you again, you heard from heaven, and in your compassion you delivered them time after time.
29 “You warned them in order to turn them back to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, of which you said, ‘The person who obeys them will live by them.’ Stubbornly they turned their backs on you, became stiff-necked and refused to listen.
30 For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.
31 But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
If you change the them’s and the they’s to us’ and we’s all at once we can see through a clear glass. Yes we have been turned over to OUR ENEMY… Why, because we have turned our backs on God. Well I can not honestly say that God is finished I can say there are signs that must be followed for the end to come. There are things that need to and will happen, take place, before His return.
However everyday draws us closer to each and every one of our end times if He returns now or not. The one thing that people do not wish to think or talk about is the end, death our own end time. We need to study, an learn, understand and follow, each one of us. We are told in 2 Timothy that we should.
2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
So let us look a some things that have gone on:
The Israelites
- The Assyrian, Babylonian Captivity 78 years
- The Egyptian Captivity 400 years
- Even the 40 years in the Wilderness
These are actual events they are actually recorded in history (right now)… And Yes they really happened!
Do you remember?
- 1. In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male extremist.
- 2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists.
- 3. In 1979, the US Embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists.
- 4. During the 1980’s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim male extremists.
- 5. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut were blown up by Muslim male extremists.
- 6. In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70-year-old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim male extremists.
- 7. In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists.
- 8. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim male extremists.
- 9. In 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists.
- 10. In 1998, the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim male extremists.
- 11. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male extremists.
- 12. In 2002, the United States started fighting a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists.
- 13. In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by you guessed it–Muslim male extremists.
Each opportunity that you have to share this with a friend or media outlet…do it!
