A New Leaf

Romans 6:22 (NKJV) But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

As I studied this I though of a teaching I received Romans 6:8 (NKJV) Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. According to this in Gods grace thought our faith as we accepted Jesus the old man [or flesh] died on the cross with Him, and as He was resurrected so was we. As we read in Romans 6:6 (NIV) For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away, with that we should no longer be slaves to sin— However according to 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: [that person is a new creation.] The old has gone, the new is here!

My question is why do we feed a spirit that is dead, the old man died with Jesus on the cross. So why do we listen to satan [the accuser]. How do we do that, one might ask, by what we listen to, read, watch on TV, think about. By doing this we are feeding a dead spirit [the flesh]. We need to change what we do and do things that feeds our new man. Romans 1:5 (Amp) It is through Him that we have received grace [God’s unmerited favor] and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name’s sake among all the nations, We have a responsibility to be what we are called to be so let us turn over a new leaf, a time for a change.

So let us look at Galatians 2:20-21 (NKJV) 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

We have turned over a new leaf [so to speak] and if we are not walking in this, being that light to the world, believing who we are supposed to be then Christ died in vain. That hit me right between the eyes. I am not saying anyone, of our families here, is doing this. I am not pointing fingers, I am talking to me more than anyone else. However I am saying BEWARE and watch out for the trap.

Memory Verse for February 12, 2015

2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV) For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Psalm 5:8 (AMP) Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way level (straight and right) before my face.
