Free From Sin

Romans 8:1-8 (NKJV) 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
We have a lot of scripture, however I feel the Holy Spirit telling me we need to hear this. Please to not take this as finger-pointing for quoting and old saying “When one points a finger at someone there are 3 pointing my at one’s self”. This is something that if we grasp it will help make your walk with our Lord easier.
Verse 1 NO CONDEMNATION the word does not say maybe a little bit it says NO none, it all has been taken to the cross and killed. To those who are in Christ Jesus. This is very powerful for again we read IN CHRIST JESUS, not hanging around or close IN we DO NOT walk according to this FLESH we are walking ACCORDING to the HOLY SPIRIT.
Example: In our automobiles there is a gauge on the dash that tells us how much gas we have. If that gauge tells us it is on the E does that men we have ENOUGH and we can keep on going or does it mean GET SOME GAS now.In fact some cars fuel gauge starts to blink when one gets under a quarter of a tank. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a red light that flashed when we was bought to sin, mine would probably be burned out…
So my question is you look down at the gauge and it says E, empty do you just keep on going? No you find a station and put more gas in. So we are walking ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT. Do not ignore for the Holy Spirit is our GPS through this world we are in. We are not under the LAW that is why Jesus came was to fulfill the LAW so we do not walk according to the FLESH because we according to the SPIRIT.
We see it every day, this world chases worldly thing they are hung up in greed, I once read a quote or statement from someone who went like this when is enough money enough (asked of a multi millionaire) just one dollar more was the response.
Greed is like drugs at first a small amount is plenty, however then it takes a little more and then more, more and more than something stronger until one is completely consumed and if long enough it will take ones life. In the flesh enough is never enough. We have been set free from that.
There is so much to teach here however what I am hoping we get from this is that we are no longer depending on or seeking after fleshly things of this world. We have been set free of that by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. FREE that fleshly person died on the cross. So let us practice not giving in. when we start seeking after fleshly things we are opening the door to the enemy. So starting today let’s start spending more time listening to Godly music more, reading the Bible more, praying more, etc. Stop listening to the fleshly stuff or things of this world. Let us remember we have been SET FREE FROM SIN.
