Action or ReAction

Proverbs 16:18-19 (NKJV) 18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Well I have struggled with this, not for the reason some would understand. My daughter was on her high school basketball team and was always very frustrated. The reason being there was to young ladies on the team that thought they were the only two on the team, they were ball hogs they would not pass the ball to anyone else even if they lost it.
So writing a letter and I made and observation and gave it to my daughter in the word PRIDE there is a word right in the middle of it that word is I and the Greek world for I is EGO imagine that. Then I added a saying I heard years before “There is no I in TEAM”. So my daughter sat down and read the letter. Then she went to her room and wrote that saying out and took it to school and stuck one, with tape I might add, on each locker.
Then when the coach asked who did it my daughter told her and told her what I said about the word pride. Then she told the coach how she felt about what was going on. The coach went back and watched some tapes and saw what was going on. She had a meeting and explained to the girls was going to happen if this action did not stop. Now this is a very good story however that is just what it was a story.
My daughter did play on the time and I did tell her the thing about the word PRIDE. She did talk to the coach about the problem. However the purpose of the story was about ACTION OR REACTION. I learned a long time ago that I was being watched. I hope that my daughters advisement through the ranks has been due to the fact that she learned by watching how I dealt with certain things through life and she grew up learning by my ACTION OR REACTION to situations through my life.
