Beware of False Prophets

1 John 3:16 (NKJV) By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. There was a time in my life were I would have laughed at these words – They meant nothing to me I was self-centered and worried about me and me only. I would do what I had to do to stay alive. Then on April 24 1982 I found a savior and today there is not a doubt in my mind that I would do this.

I am learning everyday what it is to be a Christian, more than that now I am learning what it is to be a Shepherd and yes I would do this. Why one might ask why would you lay down your life for me? Because my Lord did it for me and He put me here to Shepherd here. I love each and everyone one of you. I did not say that I agreed with everyone all the time I said I LOVE you all that much. I believe Matthew 18:12 (NKJV) “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?

A shepherd would also break the leg of the wandering sheep so he had to stay with the flock. He would not break the leg to harm or punish the sheep however he would do it because he loved him and wanted to protect them. David as a shepherd killed a lion and a bear because they tried to harm his flock. David kill Goliath because he was cursing his God and the flock [the Army of Israelites] needed to be protected. I love those words in 1 Samuel 17:29 “Is there not a cause” [reason]?

Not a hero just a shepherd, doing what shepherds do. Not some brave big strong he man just a person given a duty by his Lord and Savior. If a child was drowning in a swimming pool would you not try to save him. If you [as a Christian] saw a man or woman lying in the street would you not help them up. If the answer was no or even I would think about it, then maybe one needs to reevaluate their Salvation. I know that sounds harsh and I know some would even say I am wrong however what does 1 John 3:16 say “ And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren”

This is a problem today for if someone walked in some church buildings today they [me] would not even be greeted or welcomed. Why one might ask because one was not dressed properly. I do not dress in a suit and tie, in fact do not own one. With me it is not what clothes I ware it is what is on the inside that matters. I am not here to judge anyone I am here to protect the sheep. I am here to keep them safe as they graze and sleep. So if you wish to see me in the protection mode just let someone try to hurt or remove one from the flock. I will end with this verse Matthew 7:15 (NKJV) “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Memory Verse for June 18, 2015

Matthew 7:15 (NKJV) “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to

  1. Well I really dont have a lot to say, but i certainly try to protect some one with all I have in me.And if I saw some one on the street I would help them. And if someone tried to hurt my loved ones well better get back jack!! I think a lot about that scripture where God told Abraham to go and give his one as a sacrifice and only son, that he waited so long to have, I have a little problem with that I cant say I would be able to do something like that!!~
