Blessing The Unsaved Can I

This article started with a conversation with a friend about blessing the unsaved. It is the first time that I can honestly say we both were right the first thing I found was I found something on salvation we can see the fruit of a salvation as we see in Matthew Chapter 7. There Matthew talks about the fruit and the proof of salvation. First we see in Matthew 7:16 (NIVR) You can tell what they really are by what they do. “Do people pick grapes from bushes? Do they pick figs from thorns? Matthew 7:17 (NIVR) In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit. But a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matthew 7:18 (NIVR) A good tree can’t bear bad fruit. And a bad tree can’t bear good fruit. Matthew 7:19 (NIVR) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down. It is thrown into the fire. Matthew 7:20 (NIVR) You can tell each tree by its fruit. So we can see the proof of salvation through the fruit we have. Now that fruit can be from a multitude of things praying, teaching, preaching. doing etc. However back to Blessing the unsaved can I? Well searching what I find is yes and no, yes you can no you cannot. So here we go…

Psalms 145:9 (NIVR) The Lord is good to all. He shows deep concern for everything he has made. and then Matthew 5:45 (NIVR) Then you will be sons of your Father who is in heaven. “He causes his sun to shine on evil people and good people. He sends rain on those who do right and those who don’t. and yet again Acts 14:17 (NIVR) Then you will be sons of your Father who is in heaven. “He causes his sun to shine on evil people and good people. He sends rain on those who do right and those who don’t. Then in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (NIVR) 3 Suppose our good news is covered with a veil. Then it is veiled to those who are dying, 4 The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They can’t see the light of the good news of Christ’s glory. He is the likeness of God. Romans 2:4 (NIVR) Do you make fun of God’s great kindness and favor? Do you make fun of God when he is patient with you? Don’t you realize that God’s kindness is meant to turn you away from your sins?

So what I am seeing is yes God blesses the saved and the unsaved however then for the other side we see something that amazed me and that is the fact that I found something in the word 15 times. 15 times it talks about those that fear him so I see that there is blessing that come to those that fear the Lord

Psalms 15:4 (NASB) In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors those who fear the Lord; He swears to his own hurt and does not change;

Psalms 19:9 (NASB) The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.

Psalms 22:23 (NASB) You who fear the Lord, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.

Psalms 25:12 (NASB) Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

Psalms 25:14 (NASB) The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

Psalms 33:18 (NASB) Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His loving kindness,

Psalms 34:7 (NASB) The angel of the Lord encamp around those who fear Him, And rescues them.

Psalms 34:9 (NASB) O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want.

Psalms 85:9 (NASB) Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.

Psalms 103:11 (NASB) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His loving kindness toward those who fear Him.

Psalms 103:13 (NASB) Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.

Psalms 103:17 (NASB) But the loving kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,

Psalms 111:5 (NASB) He has given food to those who fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever.

Psalms 145:19 (NASB) He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.

Psalms 147:11 (NASB) The Lord favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His loving kindness.

Luke 1:50 (NASB) And His mercy is upon generation after generation Toward those who fear Him.

So what I see here is two rights Blessing the unsaved is something that God does because he blesses man. However for those that fear him there is the deeper blessing to those that fear Him. So He must bless the unsaved to bless the saved however when one accepts what Jesus did then he will receive even more. He will use the blessings to save the lost, the unsaved.
