Build Your House On The Solid Rock

Build on solid ground for when the storms come you will be safe. We must trust our Lord 100% and do as we are told. How do we do that one might ask and the Bible is very clear with this in Luke 47:48.

Luke 6:46-49 (ESV) 46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? 47 Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49 But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

Who is Jesus talking to in verse 46? Who is the YOU here? He is talking to the pew warmer that shows up and does not hear or listen. Then says he is a Christian. That is like saying you have a job but never goes to work but at the end of the week wants his pay check…

We have a book that instructs us in all that we do and it is about time that we start following directions. There is no in-between one is either all in or all out. One can not be rich and poor. Can not be a Christian and live like the world.

I believe we all need to start our prayers (at least the morning prayer) with repentance. There is not one of us that does not slip or mess up now and then. Let us start our prayers with a clean slate. I wish I could be that holy that I did not sin and one day that will happen but not here on this earth…

We need to study the word and know the word so when we here it used it is being used RIGHTLY that is what is said in 2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If there is a RIGHT way to divide the word of truth then there must be a WRONG way. I do believe that there is some ministries that are not telling the whole truth out of fear of running people off. The numbers and the money is controlling them not the truth…

For we have read “the truth will set you free” John 8:31-32 (NKJV) 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

So let us practice using, studying, and knowing the Word and live as we should live not doubting our Lord and Savior I do pray—AMEN!
