Burden of Wisdom Comes An Abundance Of Frustration

Burden of Wisdom brings forth an abundance of frustration. Now that is a mouth full. I remember the first time I read that thinking, do I really want to pray for wisdom if this is the results. To me the first time I read this was scary. Then years later I come to the full understanding of what was said here.

Ecclesiastes 1:18 (MEV) For in an abundance of wisdom is an abundance of frustration, and he who increases in knowledge also increases in sorrow.

Reading this statement without the understanding of the wisdom Nathan who was the third of four sons born to King David and Bathsheba in Jerusalem. He was a younger brother of Shammuah, Shobab, and an older brother of Solomon. Although Nathan is the third son raised by David and Bathsheba, he is the fourth born to Bathsheba. The first died before he could be named.

Nathan was the first child of Bathsheba that she was given the right to name. Her first child died as an infant before being given a name, and Shammuah and Shobab were given names by David and Nathan the prophet. It is thought that she chose the name Nathan in honor of Nathan the prophet, her counselor.

I believe what was said here is as we learn more about our Father and His love for us to give His only begotten Son so we can be free and spend eternity in Heaven with Him. We then see all the torment, the trouble, the hurt and just plain garbage others go though brings forth the burden knowing they can not see the truth, and yes that does bring sorrow and frustration.

Just a thought to think about when we feel the burden and we feel we can not go any farther it will give us the strength to carry on and be that light we are to be…
