By Faith We Understand

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By faith we understand, do we? Do we really understand, or is it just some words put together to make a sentence. We as Christians say things like by faith we understand and go on. I want to look at this closer. Let us start with Faith what does faith mean to you, as an individual is it really a substance?
Faith: A secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God’s will viewed as a theological virtue.
Substance: That which is real or practical in quality or character; practical value.
We pray and thank our Father for things hoped for because we have seen answered prayers. We have to trust God for life in general. When I was young, and maybe even some of you, I never even thought about growing old or retirement, now that I am there I think about it all the time. For sure on the 4th of every month. How am I going to do this. We need this and that and we have not Lord HELP. Each month the gap gets wider…
We hope for lots of things I have come to the conclusion that I have to give it all to our Lord and Savior. I have no control over it so yes I have learned about FAITH. I pray that we understand by faith we understand. I once heard a preacher say we believe in an invisible man, I agree and I disagree. I agree we have never seen Him and I agree that is an invisible man however I disagree because I see things that he as done and does everyday and that makes him viable to me by what I see him in what He has done, what He is doing and what He is going to do.
So let us grow in or FAITH and in our HOPE and in our BELIEF in this walk or journey that we are in.
