1 Corinthians 7:23-24 (NKJV) 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. 24 Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called.
The calling is how we find our place in the family of God. I remember when I read this and I started thinking about the body of Christ. Am I a finger or and eye or maybe an ear. Then I received a cassette tape from Liberty Bible College and the professor was talking about a proton and how small they are—it would take a million protons lined up side by side to make one inch.
With that thought, I started thinking what if I was a proton in the body of Christ and it put it in prospective for me. If we all do our part in the body of Christ what a strong body we would be. I believe we all have a part and if it is not done then it puts a larger strain on others to get it done. My old Pastor put it this way. If my calling was a chair stacker, then I was going to be the best chair stacker at the church and with that attitude, he became a Pastor…
