The character of a new man we find in Colossians chapter 3 one should put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another. Above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

Colossians 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

So we see here the instructions Paul was giving to the Colossians on living as a Christian man and in a Christian family in verses 18-21 Colossians 3:18-21(NKJV) The Christian Home 18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

We do understand that there are many broken families and most, no all, are because of unGodly people. Well my husband or my wife was this or that. No, the real truth is someone was not really madly in love with God. That is the real problem in today’s world, UNGODLINESS! Like it are not the truth does hurt sometimes, the real character of a person will come out if we only watch.
