The Face Of The Lord I Will Seek

The face of the Lord, as I read today this verse caught my eye and think in this we can learn to study the word. To get to know our God our Jesus and the Holy Spirit prayers reading and studying the word of our Lord.

Psalm 27:8 (NKJV)  When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

I remember when I first got saved they had a read the Bible in a year and I did it. I really did not get anything out of it except a certificate saying I had done it. I have seen most of them read so many scriptures a day in the Old Testament and the New Testament… I say I believe one should start with the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Once you have read those and let them soak in maybe one might have to read them again and again. Once you have what they are saying then go through the rest of the New Testament I do not believe in so many verses or chapters. Read and study it, know it in your heart and be ready to use it in a moments notice.

Most Pastors have a title for their messages or sermons, I have always wanted to stand at the door and ask everyone what was the title of the Message today and most would not remember it. I am pretty good at stuff like that however, I have found that just reading and studying works best for me. I do not wish to go to a Christian Cemetery (Seminary) I do not wish to have men’s view of what my Lord is telling me I wish to get it straight from God. Now I do listen to some pastors.

An example of me I was listening to a new Pastor to me, and I was liking what he was saying until he got on a rant about healing. Comparing it to a Las Vegas show. I wish I could have talked to him I would have asked him about John 14:12-14. That is a perfect example of why I do not wish to be taught by man. Being honest I have never listened to a Pastor that I totally agree with all the time. However, I can get something from any message that I listen to.

I encourage everyone to take time, to read the Bible every day. And seek our Lord’s Face in the scriptures.
