Heaven or Hell Your Choice

I was given this message a few years ago. At the time it was a personal thing, something I needed and needed to learn. However now I feel the Lord is saying it is something we all, as men need to learn.

If you have your Bibles turn with me to the book of Joshua Chapter 1:1-6 1 After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—[to the Israelites]. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. Now the next verse I would ask you to insert your name. In the spots where it says you… As I read them 5 No one will be able to stand against you (say your name here) all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; (say your name here) I will never leave you (say your name here) nor forsake you (say your name here). 6Be strong and courageous, because you (say your name here) will lead these people (your family) to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

I feel that this is what we as the Priest of our household are up against, and this is what we need to do in preparation for the battle we are in, I feel this has been promised. I feel that we are today’s Joshua and this is our Promise Land and this is what we are to do. That our home our wives our children are inheriting our promise land and it was given to us it is our responsibility to stand and defend our family against the rulers the authorities, against the powers of this dark world . Our ancestors did not take control and left us with this battle. If you stay with me and learn we are going to take back what has been promised to us and we and our ancestors have let the enemy steal. Our ancestors did not take what God promised them, nor have we done the work as Christian men. They, our ancestors, didn’t take it,… Why I am not sure however I am thinking it is because they were not prepared for or trained for the war and I feel that is why we are where we are right now. However it is time for a change a time to get trained and ready to take back what is ours. So now it is our job to take back what has been taken from us. I believe God is telling Us to be strong and courageous because He is going to show us how to inherit this land. OUR PROMISE LAND.

I feel that God is saying this is the time to get ready for the battle, to be strong and courageous that He is with us and will not leave us. We have something to do and it is time to do it. It is time for us to cross OUR Jordan.

When I first got this message or teaching… I was reading from a King James and it says to cross THIS Jordan and that is what got my attention, for after looking and searching there is only one Jordan River. So why THIS Jordan, I asked?

Well what I feel and believe is being said to us as men it is time to take back what has been stolen I feel we are standing right in the middle of the enemy’s camp and it is time to turn the darkness into light and take back what has been stolen by the devil. We need to be ready or borrowing a term from the Boy Scouts… BE PREPARED for the battle.

What I am saying here is that we the men, the leaders of our homes as the Priest of our homes need to do is get prepared. Now here in Joshua 1:7-9 7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

This part is the part that hit me hard

1 BE STRONG and very courageous… Not just courageous VERY COURAGEOUS there is no room for cowards or watchers it is time to get ready for the fight of your life.

2 BE CAREFUL to obey all the law My servant Moses gave you. Be careful to obey not part not some ALL of the law… This is where I got worried and I am sure there are some here that are worried also. Now I understand it, we, as mere men, are not that strong so that is why Jesus came and walked on this earth and gave Himself or us… Then left us with the Holy Spirit.

We are not perfect so we have a covering a protector a defense, if you will. JESUS CHRIST

3 KEEP THIS BOOK OF THE LAW (The Bible) always on our lips; meditate on it day and night, so that we may be careful to do everything written in it. Again we are not perfect and I don’t know about you however I have an enemy that tells me this a lot, we are Christians under construction and will be until we go home to be with our Father. Not perfect just forgiven… John 15: 7 If you remain in Me and My word remains in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.

4 DO NOT BE AFRAID when the enemy comes at us telling us that we are unworthy, that we are not good enough! Just remember, we have the Holy Spirit to guide us and the protection of our Father, our guardian angels so what do we have to fear? Jesus said… He has told us I will never leave you nor forsake you. He is with us wherever we go.

I am sure some are saying How do we do this thing we have been asked to do… Well first I feel we as leaders, as priest of our homes need to cross Our Jordan. What is our Jordan you ask? Well this is where things get tough I feel that right now you are being spoken to by the Holy Spirit about what God is wanting to fix, repair, get rid of in our lives.

Please hear me and do not hear what I am not saying. Let me use an example here… Say God lays out something before you for example: let us say John Doe has before him these 3 problems Drugs, Alcohol and Pornography… Not saying that anyone has any of these problems just using three very common ones, (it could be any of a multitude of sins) However the Holy Spirit says that God wishes to heal John tonight of the drug problem.

Now John, being typical, says well I think we need to deal with the Pornography problem Lord, it is really working on me and I feel we need to deal with that one. He will even start to argue or disagree with the Holy Spirit. Of course we know who is putting those things there don’t we? The devil, for he is smart and he knows that he is about to lose a battle and he does not wish you to be delivered. That is why God said in verse 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

God wishes us to cross THIS Jordan (whatever it might be) for John it is Drugs. Do not turn… look to the Right Alcohol or left Pornography… THIS Jordan, (what ever it might be) and the devil knows it and he knows if he can get you to disagree to argue… If you will, to think about the other things he will win. However if you are willing to cross THIS JORDAN (the one God is talking to you about) if the Holy Spirit has put something in front of you and I will say I am sure he is talking to you right now. However the question is are you listening are you willing to admit to it and give it to God?

OK right now there is a voice saying you are not strong enough to do this you are not God you are a mere sinner and so unworthy of being with God. We he is right there is not one of us worthy of Gods forgiving grace, not one of us deserve what Jesus did for us. However it is finished all we have to do is accept what has happened… Cross this Jordan right here right now…

God is saying DO NOT look to the left or the right look right here straight ahead… Look at Me and I will fix, deliver, set you free from this problem right here right now

I have no idea what anyone is dealing with however I am sure all of us are all dealing with things in our life. I am sure that God is ready to deal with whatever the Holy Spirit is talking to you about. Tonight anyone that is willing can be set free God wishes you to cross YOUR Jordan… I do not need to know however I am here if you need to talk trust me you are not the only one with a problem. If anyone admits it or not WE All have these things holding us back and it is time for us to be accountable and stand up and take back what the enemy has stolen, it is time for us to take back that which we have lost God is calling. Are YOU listening…. God is saying come cross YOUR Jordan and walk with Me in your PROMISE LAND. It is time to take your family back it is time to become the Priest, the Leader, the husband, the dad, the man you were called to be. Please don’t be afraid or worried we all have something God is wanting to set us free from. Do not let the devil lie to you and steal your freedom and what is rightfully yours. It is time to get mad. Is your family worth it? If you are not married is what you have been promised worth fighting for. DO NOT LET PRIDE HOLD YOU BACK... If you look at the word P R I D E right in the middle if it is a word “I” and so fitting the Greek word for I is ego. Please do not let Pride, I , ego steal your freedom any more… Don’t worry about the right or the left… Don’t think about anyone else there is no judgment here. We all have fallen short, however it is time to Take Back. If God is talking listen and let Him heal you, set you free from the bondage.
