The Role of Christian Men

In Genesis 2: 18 (NIV) The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. A helper? What is a helper, a person who contributes to the fulfillment of a need or furtherance of an effort or purpose. This is important not a slave not a servant and for sure not a doormat.
This is where I would like to start, we wonder why we as Christians are having trouble well this is not all however it is a good place to start. Now I am sure there are some women that will disagree however if they do they can get mad at, and take it up with God. I am not voicing my opinion I am doing what I was told by my Heavenly Father.
There is a thing called Godly Order, and I do believe it is the way life should be. It says it in 1 Corinthians 11:3 (NIV) But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man [of the wife is her husband], and the head of Christ is God. Then in Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. So I think it is like this God, Jesus, man, woman, child… And when or if it gets out of this order there is turmoil.
Look around the laws have been changed and some things have been moved around. It says in Ephesians 5: 22-30 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church 30 for we are members of his body.

No where in that definition does it say doormat though.
This does not mean now she will do as we say and she will be our slave. It says submit as the church submits to Christ. However we as men have to do our part [as Christ did to the Church] for our wives to submit we must love as Christ loved the Church. As Christ is the head of the church we should be the head of our home. It is a proven fact for the most part women do not leave good men… Hear what I said not what I did not say FOR THE MOST PART not all. Christ was willing to lay his life down for the church then so should we as well. How many would or are ready to lay down their life for their wife? One thing I noticed there was in this section Ephesians 5: 22-33 We are told 3 times to love our wives. The wife is told once to submit to her husband. Sounds like to me we are just a little hard-headed so we need to be told more.
Now this is the way I understand it. My simple redneck hillbilly way. We are to submit ourselves to God and follow Him. Be the Godly leader, husband and dad, that he wishes us to be. We are to live a Godly life studying the word, praying, listening to our Heavenly Father, being the husband and dad God means for us to be. And then the wife will gladly submit. Showing our children and wife that we are a Godly upstanding man and worthy to be their husband and dad. My little footnote [no where in that statement does it say if your wife submits, or if your children follow]. There is not an IF in there. No matter what they do we need to do our part the way God meant for it to be. One thing is for sure there is only one person that we need to worry about and that is ourselves. Now the reason I say that is if we get right with God and become what He wishes us to be and do the things that a Godly Christian man should do. Letting the Holy Spirit deal with them you will be surprised what can and will happen. It is my place to do what I have been commanded to do and that is it on ifs, no ands, no buts. John 15:7 (NIV) If you remain in me and my word remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Also in the Psalms it says in Psalms 91:1 (NIV) “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” So I was thinking here if we do not we will rest not…
What I am saying is this. We all [Me included] need to understand and obey Gods Word we need to study it, listen to it, read it, obey it, memorize it. I know I fall short of this a lot… Do I love my wife YES very very much however I still fall short and I ask for forgiveness daily. I do desire to get to this point before the Lord takes me home.
Men, we need to get up early we need to pray for our families… Stand over our wife and pray the blood of Jesus over her. Pray a hedge of protection around her then our children around the house around their day, Pray that God will watch their going out and they’re coming in. It is our duty our responsibility. It is time to fight for and take back what the enemy has stolen.
Now praying is not all however it is a big part, we also need to listen we need to get ourselves ready in for in Ephesians 6: 10 – 18 (NIV)
10 Finally be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. 12 “For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but the rulers against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. 13 This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day and having prepared everything to take your stand. 14 Stand therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, Righteousness like armor on your chest, 15; and your feet sandals with readiness for the gospel of peace. 16 In every situation take the shield of faith and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 take the helmet of Salvation.And the sword of the Spirit which is Gods word. 18 Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
I will end with this I know the Lord has a calling for me I have and this is what it is I am to teach and equip the Christian Men to do battle. I am to prepare a TEAM for a war:
T is for Teach
E is for Educate
A is for Arm
M is for Men
However this is where I am standing right now. Am I scared yes however not of what one might think. 1 Timothy 3: 1 – 7 (NIV) 1 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. 5 If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church (in my case God has for me to do?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. I would like to ask you to remember me as you pray if you would.
