It is easy to get wrapped up in other things for the enemy will put things in your path to keep you from growing.  So here we go– I do understand one saying, what does this have to do with Marriage? I can honestly say everything, It is doing what we are to do, alone or as a family.

I know there are people who do not believe and others that believe some, sort of like selective believing, they accept parts of the Bible. Well the truth is that we need to accept it from cover to cover, all of it. It is time to do or do not, no more fence setting, no more Sunday Christians or Christmas or Easter Christians.

That is why I started out this way with the Title “The Day Is Coming” and the following scripture. For this scripture is very plain about what Joshua is saying… It is time to choose what side each wish to be on. For one day, believe it or not, we all will stand before God and answer for our sins. The secret is are you written in the “Lambs Book of Live” that is the key to heaven and is the only key.

Joshua 24:14-15 (NIV)  14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

We men need to be the leaders of our household. We men need to lead. I know it is easier to let someone else take the responsibility however we are the Leader of our household so let’s get busy. It’s time to return our families to Gods Grace. Let’s bring them back to God or even make the ones that are there already there stronger in God.

I know this sounds harsh however it is the hard truth. There are people out there working to steal our children away from us and turn them away from God. It is our place and our duty to keep them safe. We need to set some standards to keep ourselves and our families in Gods saving grace.

Let us get a plan and then use this plan.

1. As fathers we need to be prayed up and informed We need to do our daily devotion.

• We need to read and study our Bible.
• We need to know what we are talking about and be ready to answer questions.

2. We need to be ready to go to war for our families using the Word of God as our sword.

3. There are plenty of helps on-line or in the local Christian book store.

4. Ask God what you need to teach and for guidance in teaching.

5. Then walk the walk and remember who is watching you.

Hearing Gods word is not enough OBEYING, DOING, LIVING, WALKING IN Gods word this is where we need to be. There is a storm brewing and we as Christian dads, husbands and even leaders need to be prepared and ready for battle. How we do that is to be prayed up, full of the scripture and ready to use it. A fireman knows his job inside out, as does a policeman. or even a plumber or electrician, at our job we are trained to know it and experience teaches us. Well being a Christian is no different we need to be prepared for what will come. So are you ready for the fight? If you are not sure then it is time to become sure.
