1 John 1:9 (NKJV) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My Pastor brought this up I have heard this scripture used time and time again as a Soul Winning tool. However, let us read it again If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Two words hit John did not write if you or one confesses their sins. He wrote if we confess our sins. Including himself so confession is necessary for we Christians.

I believe this verse is written for us, for we the Christians. If you are reading this have you sinned since you were saved? In fact, have you sinned before reading this devotional? We are not perfect, that is why Jesus died for us He took our sins upon Himself and set us free of the law. However, we do have to confess them and get rid of them. Confession should be a way of life now I am not saying it is a free ticket to sin I am saying in our daily walk we will sin so confess them and He is faithful to forgive…
