The Whole Armor of God What is the Purpose

I woke up thinking about The Whole Armor of God so I thought that would be a good place to start and understand once we have done all we can do we put on the Whole Armor of God and STAND.  Why do we need to get up every morning and put on The Whole Armour of God? Well, let us look and see. In Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to STAND against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to WITHSTAND in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND.

14 STAND therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

We learn here for us to be strong in the lord and in His power of His might we need to put the WHOLE armor of God on so that we can STAND against the wiles of the devil [the slanderer]. We are not fighting a person to say we are fighting principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness… So we need the WHOLE armor not just part of it ALL of it. So we need to put it on every day because we know what is coming. So lets us now look at the Armor.

When we have done all we can do what are we told to do? STAND because we have on our BELT of TRUTH, girded [to encircle or bind with a belt or band] then the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS [STAND in belief that we are in the righteousness of our God], our SHIELD of FAITH so we can quench or [extinguish, to subdue or destroy; overcome] the devil [the slanderer]. Then we have the HELMET of SALVATION, think about it race car drivers wear helmets why, to protect their head or brain. So we as Christians, God wants to protect our brain from the words of the devil [the slanderer] for that is what he [the slanderer] does, he [the slanderer] puts us down and tells us we are not saved that we did this or that etc. so then we fall for his lies. So we need to listen to the Holy Spirit he is here to remind us of who we are in Christ what Jesus did for us to assure us of who we are. He is here to give us the words to say. That we are an Ambassador [a child of the most High, a Prince or Princes of the King] We are someone to reckoned with [to settle an account, to count, depend on, or rely on, as in expectation].

Well now maybe we understand a little better of what and why we are putting on our Armor every day. So now that we are ready to let us do it boldly and that is to STAND.
