Dead to sin what does that mean to you? Yes we live in a sinful world and yes sin is everywhere. However knowing we are not perfect. Knowing Christ died so that we might be saved. Do we try not to sin? Or do we just go on believing our Lord will take care of it?

Devotional Scripture

Romans 6:1-4 (MEV) 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may increase? 2 God forbid! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Do you not know that we who were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I love verse 1 here very plain “Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase?” That is a mouth full see we can not live in sin and be a Christian. Yes I know it is everywhere however we work at not being a part of it. One can not go to church and on the way home stop at the local bar for a couple. Or willing tell a lie to get what one desires. Yes we are attacked daily. That is why we have repentance…

Understanding We Can Not Be Living In Sin

Romans 6:1 We may not live in sin;
Romans 6:2 For we are dead unto it;
Romans 6:3 As appears by our baptism;

Understanding Baptism

Romans 6:4We also should walk in newness of life.

The Greek root-word baptizein [baptivzw] means to plunge, immerse, sink; hence to wash; to be immersed, overwhelmed (in trouble). From Jewish rules of purification concerning ritual uncleanness the word gained a technical religious connotation implying “purification” from all that might exclude us from God’s presence.

Todays Understanding; Representing of the dying of the old sinful man and the rising (born again) of the new.

Understanding That We Can Not Let Sin Rule Our Lives

Romans 6:12 Let not sin reign any more;

Once We Accepted Christ As Our Savior

Romans 6:18 Because we have yielded ourselves to the service of righteousness;

We Must Understand There Is A Price To Pay For Living In Sin

Romans 6:23 For that death is the wages of sin is death.

Praying this will help understanding salvation, why we are baptized, and walking as a Christian. Let us be that light to a dark world and be ready to show anyone how to become a Christian…

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…

Memory Verse April 18, 2019

Romans 6:10 (MEV) For the death He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life He lives, He lives to God.
