Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Looking back to Hebrews 11, we see what this scripture is there for. Which is all about Faith we need to learn and believe. We need the faith of those before us, I often think of Abraham and the Faith of him when God told him to go and sacrifice his son Issac would I have done it. That is FAITH if there ever was FAITH. All we are asked to do is accept God CRACE by FAITH and some find that hard to do. We are covered by the BLOOD of Jesus—so let us be strong and endure the race set before us. By despising our enemy the defeated one we can endure the race…
Despising the sin Despising the enemy, we can run the race and complete it. We have all we need when we think there is nothing else we have Ephesians 6 we can put on our Armor of God and STAND and trust our Lord to deliver us from, or see us through, whatever the enemy has placed before us…
