The Goal, The Prize, The Upward Call

The Goal what is your Goal? Do you have a Goal? Are you working to achieve your Goal? Questions that we all need to think about for this world does not hold us its riches will pass away like feathers in the wind. This world is not my home we are only just passing through.

Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJV) 12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

We as Christians have a hard time of letting go of the past, for sure those things that were done to us that were bad we can hang on to them forever. Those memories bring us down and keep us there. That is why we need to let go of the hurt of the past. It is gone and the only one that is paying the price is the one holding on to them. I some cases the person has passed on and in some is still around. Either way it is the past and they are not thinking about it or worrying about it. The goal today is to get us to let go and let God.

Trust me when I say your Father in Heaven knows what happened and he also can take care of it and will. What we need to do is press forward keep our eyes on our Father on Jesus Christ and let the Holy Spirit guide us. A good saying and goal to learn is “Forgive and Forget” and when one does this it is amazing of the peace that will flow– try it and see what I am saying. I do pray that this will help lighten the load for you. Make it your goal to lighten the load…
