I feel today there is some problems and it is not a male, husband, dad problem. Nor is it a female, wife, mom problem. It is not even a child problem. It is a FAMILY problem. We are so busy that we do not have time to pray together morning or evening. The average dinner or supper, whatever one decide to call it, is not ate at a table if it is there is not a conversation only pass this or that. The family does not sit down together and read the Bible. Yet we complain about what is going on. Let us take a minute and look at what I found here.
The Good News About Marriage also reveals the divorce rate among those active in their church is 27 to 50 percent lower than among non-churchgoers. That sounds good however in the REAL Christian the percentage could and should be 0%. That sounds harsh I know However I was married a short time to a want-a-be Christian was fooled by the act. I walked out when my daughter became the center of her vengeance. The marriage was ended in a very short time less than a month. I walked around in a defeated state for a long time after that I played the game that all was OK however it was not. I had been married before I got saved and I had no problems there it was the one after becoming a Christian that hurt so much. Then a Christian Psychologist sat me down one day and we talked for hours and I found out a lot of the reason. I was looking for love for all the wrong reasons.
I spent the next 15 years working on me and my relationship with God. Did I do it all right no, however I did grow in my love for God and what he had for me. I also learned what Patience is about. Then when I was not doing it myself instead leaving it to God. Debbie walked into my life. We have been together now for 10 years and they have been great. Debbie is a Jewish lady and she is learning from me by example not by pushing it by doing it. She loves the people who have gathered here because they love her unconditionally. So back to the rest of the story we are showing to others Gods Love.
Let us look at some scripture and get into what I am saying here. I will do a disclosure here I know that we have single moms and dads here and I want to say right now that Good Honest Christian men and women in church building around this country need to step up to these single parents and this Real Christian men and women can be the missing mom and dad to the youth that is getting lost in the ruffle. In a divorce the children pay the price.
Ephesians 5:21-33 (NKJV) 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Ephesians 6:1-4 (NKJV) 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
There is a lot of scripture there however what I am going to say is simple and to the point… So please hear what I am saying not what I am not saying.
One of the first things I got out of this is men are hard-headed, why would I say that. Well we men are told 3 times in this scriptures 3 times to love our wives and women are told once. Also men are told as Christ gave Himself to the church we men should do so that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word. So we need the word in the home. Also submit, men, is not spelled DOOR MAT so let us get in line with what the word says remembering the cross that Jesus died on to take our sin, and I do mean every man, woman and child’s sins. We are told to be like Christ in this. Wives need to let men be men and MEN need to be what the word says end of story. It is time that we get the family in Godly order and do what we are supposed to do.
And ladies the same goes for the men the word says as the church [the body] is to Christ that wives should be to their husbands. The amazing thing I have heard over and over when I on staff was “If he would do this or that or If she would do this or that” I would say maybe we should read the scripture again — IF is not there anywhere, the Word does not say if he or she or even child does it right these scriptures are how it is done. We want to change them to read what we would like them to read. I do believe that the whole problem exist because we do not follow the Godly Order.
