God’s Promise Is Not Slack or Careless!

God’s promise in 2 Peter Chapter 3 (please read it first) Peter is a warning then and now, that we should listen and I thought of and old sign. When I was a child there was a white X at every railroad crossing and I think the words hold true today from our Father.

“STOP, LOOK, AND LISTEN” How much time do we spend reading the word and understanding it. One thing that got me in this chapter was these words found in verse 16, “ which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also with the rest of the Scriptures”.

Talking to an unbeliever and using scripture can get one in trouble for the unsaved to not totally understand the Bible and actually what they can understand is they need to be saved. However most of them do not wish to hear or read that and they wish to pick and argument. They wish to get away from the subject of salvation…

I do not think I know it all and wonder sometimes why our Father put me here. He has never let me down and it is amazing how easy it is to study and learn from His words, when you wish to actually learn.

One thing that I did change after starting this Ministry was I feel as a new Christian we need to get to know the New Testament first. My thought is simple read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then read it again and again. Once that is understood, some what, move on to the rest of the New Testament. Once that is in your heart and mind move on to the Old Testament.

I say that from my experience in reading and getting so confused that I was ready to quit. We need the whole Bible not just parts. We can not remove what we do not like it is all there for a reason. I know I am preaching to the choir but am hoping someone that needs it, might reads and hears what is being said today.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. I now pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and our Savior—AMEN
