The greatest one thing for us to grasp is LOVE this word is found 538 times 317 times in the Old Testament, and 221 times in the New Testament. Love is a powerful word.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (MEV) So now abide faith, hope, and love, these three. But the greatest of these is love.
Galatians 5:22-26 (MEV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law. 24 Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be conceited, provoking one another and envying one another.
What are we told more to do, in the Bible, the most to do LOVE. Our Father Loves us. Jesus Loves us and in return we are told to love. Has anyone ever tried to love someone that despises you? Have you tried to help someone that that despises you.
That is a hard row to hoe, however, that is what we are told to do. Love does not make anyone a door mat. Love does not mean to be bullied or walked on. However, at the same time we should love our enemies and pray for their souls.
Today’s devotional is going to be up to each one that reads it. Find out what love really is. When I was a child I was whipped (not beaten) because I was loved. It was a way of showing me that I was wrong. The job of a parent is to raise their children when they are children.
When that child is grown it is usually harder to get their attention. I look around today and see a lot out of order and one of them is raising your children. Yes there are problems and yes they need to be addressed…
I was once asked if I had ever received a whipping for something I did not deserve and I responded NO. Then this person says, you never got a whipping for something you did not do?
My response was that is not what you asked me I may not have done what they said however 10 minutes before I did something that did not know about. So NO I never got a whipping I did not deserve…
Our Father loves us and sometimes things happen because we need to grow up. Some have sat in churches and in 30 years have not grown. Yes they know John 3:16, but, do they know John 3:15 or 17? We know the Lords prayer however no where in the Bible does it say pray this… It says pray like this as and example of how we should pray..
First
We say that our Fathers will should be done.
Second
Give us our needs and forgiveness of our sins. And forgive us as we forgive others…
Third
Let us put forth our needs and if for some reason (praying a miss) we will still go on loving Him.
Forth
Letting Him know that we love Him and will continue to do so no matter what comes from this prayer. Good or not so good…
Think about it today and try to love someone that does not love you back… Be nice to someone that will not be nice in return. That is being a Christian. God Bless you and may we all grow from these words—AMEN!
Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And World, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
