Revelation 3:20 (NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

I was reading this for the umpteen time and I had to stop and start over. This is one of the simplest verses in the Bible. It is spoken clearly or is it? Or could it be that we are not getting what is said here. Read it, then read it again. What is it saying to you?

Here I am… Our Father the one and only Creator he is standing at your door and he is knocking, however that is not the important part. Not to me anyway I hope today that this gets into each and every soul and spirit in these two groups today. IF there is that word. In Ephesians chapter 5 and 6 I have taught about there is no ifs, husbands love your wives no ifs not one place is there an if we are instructed to love period. As is the wives and even the children. In chapter 6 again put on the whole armor and not one if.

IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE. It does not say see me nor feels me IF anyone HEARS my voice. We have to listen we have to hear that voice, and then what we have to OPEN the door. God is not going to force himself on anyone. It is everyone’s choice to listen and then choose to open the door or not. It is not about opening the door it is not about hearing Him knock it is not about that at all it is about the voice. Hearing his voice. IF anyone hears MY voice.

I have heard this over and over and over and I have heard it preached and it has been about opening the door. Which it is however more than that it is about hearing His VOICE it is about Him talking to us about what is he saying. He wishes to come in and sit down at our table and eat dinner with us to sit and talk and explain himself. He wants us to get to know Him. This is where our Heavenly Father becomes our Daddy. This is where we get to know him. Do you really know Him or have you just excepted, sort of, who you think He is.

Let us take some time and get to know our Father our Daddy let us actually sit down and have a meal with Him and kick back and get to know Him… Let us really STEP IN LOVE with our FATHER. Can you really say I Hear You Knocking?
