Judge Not, That You Be Not Judged Says The Lord

Judge not… Man have I heard that so very much from the other side. However, I think it is time for a lesson in judging. The hows and whys are found in the Bible which changes the story. Love is the key word in this whole statement, then one is not judging but helping.

Matthew 7:1-2 (MEV) 7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged. And with the measure you use, it will be measured again for you.

Let us see the definition of Judging. To act as a judge; pass judgment, to form an opinion or estimate, to make a mental judgment.

If one makes a ruling on their own or by their opinion then said person is judging someone. My question is; If someone is saved or unsaved and going against the Word of God and one goes to, said person and shows them the Word, is one being a Judge?

I feel the answer is actually very simple. It is how one goes about it. Do it out of and with the Love of God our Father. That is not judging to show someone where they are going or doing wrong. Then praying with and helping them get back on the right path is not being a judge nor is it judging.

Pointing a finger is judging and ole’ saying comes into play “When one points a finger they have three pointing back at self.” We need to practice loving more in my opinion…
