Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV) 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

I wrote and article about this a while back however I think it is a chance for it again. In This statement I talked about the 3 parts of this statement. What happens with some is this they get angry because God did not answer their prayer, I have seen people walk out of church over this. However the problem is them not God. They ask ask ask ask ask and ask. Over and over they forget the SEEK and KNOCK.

Let us use a familiar prayer here… One needs a job so they pray about it something like this. “Dear Lord I lost my job due to cut back and I really need a job so I can pay my bill”. Then they go sit on the couch and that afternoon the paper comes and they look in that nothing hits them so they pray the same prayer and do the same thing over and over and over. Then they complain that God does not answer prayers and they complain about not being able to pay their bills.

However in this midst of this they forgot their part. See Gods parts is in the first part, First part ASK and God steps in and GIVES however one needs to SEEK go out and look for a job that is where the KNOCK comes in. One needs to knock on some doors. You know “Hi my name is Jym and I need a job, do you have something I can do for you”?

Today we have become a society of I want to make money and be paid a high wage, however I do not want to work for it I want an easy job and I really don’t want to do anything. I said in the other article that there are Three parts however there are really 4 parts ASK, RECEIVE, SEEK and KNOCK so one fourth of this statement is Gods and three-fourths is our responsibility. We ask then we seek and knock and guess what THE WILL OPEN.

It does not say it might be or should be it WILL be opened. So let us practice the whole statement instead of just one part. Then see what happens. Not our time however Gods time.

Memory Verse for January 1, 2015

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Psalm 5:8 (AMP) Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way level (straight and right) before my face.
