The Last Charge to Timothy In The Last Days

The Last Charge to Timothy… What is being said here is what we live in now. However, let us look at Charge what does that mean? When I looked up the word charge I was amazed the definition was a page long so after reading it this is what I concluded… From reading 2 Timothy 3:1-9 I took hold of this definition: To make a claim of wrongdoing against; accuse or blame.

The Last Charge to Timothy In The Last Days

2 Timothy 3:1-9 (MEV) 1 Know this: In the last days perilous times will come. 2 Men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, truce-breakers, slanderers, unrestrained, fierce, despisers of those who are good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Turn away from such people.

6 Those of this nature creep into houses and captivate silly women who are burdened with sins and led away with various desires, 7 always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds and worthless concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further, for their folly will be revealed to everyone, as theirs also was.

I know this is a bunch of scripture however what time frame does it sound like to you? This last charge to Timothy was supposedly written somewhere between 90 and 140 AD, and what is it about really. They do not address Paul’s common themes, such as the believers’ unity with Christ. These scriptures reflect a church hierarchy. This almost or does sound like a more organized and defined than the church was in Paul’s time. It actually sounds like now.

With that charge of Timothy let us look at 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (MEV) 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Please read this over and over and over what is the scripture written for. The enemy, the defeated one has no new tricks he is using the same ones he used 2000 years ago. He is a liar and the father of it John 8:44. Is it time yet? Is it time we get out of our comfort zones and get busy doing the Lords work?
