The Living Stone and the Holy Nation Are We Really

The living stone that is what we are if we believe are we a stumbling stone or are we a cornerstone, as we should be. In verse 8 we read “They stumble because they are disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed.” We all have been chosen to be a part of the body of Christ are we being it?

1 Peter 2:9 (MEV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

I know I am being nosy, however, it is time someone is. We all have been appointed and it is not to go to a building sit for a couple hours put some money in the offering plate and then hope or believe that is enough to get to heaven. According to Peter we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession.

1 Peter 2:7-8 (MEV) 7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious. But to those who are disobedient, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” 8 and, “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they are disobedient to the word, to which also they were appointed.

If one is a person of God, then said person accepted Jesus as their savior a living stone and what Peter said in 1 Peter is summed up in Galatians 2:20 (MEV) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
