Being A Christian Is What Our Life Should Be About

We are an example of what being a Christian is. What we say, how we act, the things we do all represent our Father. Today’s question is are we being an example of God?

Psalm 90:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Lord, You have been our [refuge]dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You [gave birth to]had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

From the day we accepted Jesus we have been an example of a Christian. The way we walk, and talk. Where we go what we think all are example of a Christian. What I am saying we all have an AN or IAN on the end of our name, what I am saying is I am an AMERICAN. If one is a CHRISTIAN then we are different than the world.

Are we being what we say we are? Do we act like who we say we are? Being a Christian is being different than the world, leaving the stuff we did before we were saved and being BORN AGAIN. We start out as a baby in Christ and grow just like we did when we were born. We depended on our mothers now we should be depending on God.

How many of us start our day out with prayer. I remember reading this back a few years ago. It was a cartoon and this guy is saying “Dear Lord today has been great so far, I have not sinned once today yet, however now I have to get up. That is oh so true, we live in a sinful world and to think we walk through it without sinning is a joke. I think that is why Paul said pray without ceasing.

Proverbs 29:7 (NKJV) The righteous considers the cause of the poor, but the wicked does not understand such knowledge.

I was thinking about that and I remembered a statement I saw at the Food Bank in Arizona it said “We Take Care Of The Needy God Takes Care Of The Grady.” Do we help, when we can, are do we JUDGE that person standing on the corner, with a sign? All are not honest, however all are not dishonest either.

We do the same thing with someone speeding past us, but do we know why? They may be on their way to the hospital someone they love was just taken there dying. Or they are running late for an appointment with their heart Dr. Or yes they may be just speeding we are not to JUDGE them until we know all the facts.

That is my challenge today are we being an example of God or of the devil with our thoughts. Are we in to big of a hurry to hold the door for that old person that is having a hard time walking or just a person behind us, or are we in to big of a hurry to act like our Father… I pray today that we work at being an example of who’s we say we are. I now pray this in the name of Jesus Christ—AMEN!
