Morning Prayer For Saturday April 20, 2019

Today’s Prayer

The morning prayer today, is starting late because I slept in and hour. Just tired and I suppose I needed the rest. I did wake up to no rain this morning and that was refreshing. We have had more rainy days this year than sunny. I guess we needed it though or it would not have happened.

We had a service last night and I needed it. This year has been strenuous to say the least, the pressure has been something else. Abounding Love Ministries Worldwide is all legal and getting that done was not bad opening an account at the Credit Union was a few hoops to jump through but it is finished…

About This Ministry

I had to say that for the thought of it being a responsible Ministry is real and it was allowed by our Father. The owner is our Father, CEO is Jesus and the General Manager is the Holy Spirit. I feel it will be a successful Ministry with those at the helm and directing it. As I get up each morning and start I wait for direction from the Holy Spirit.

I think He has a good idea of what is needed for that day and to who that might need it. It amazes me to get a message or someone responds that the pray was just what they needed that do. It is a good thing when that happens assures me that I am listening. And thank you all for doing that it really is encouraging…

Good Friday

Last night Pastor Micky gave us a thought that I had never really thought about. John 19:38-39 (NKJV) 38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. 39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.

Two Lives Were Changed

This was two men that were well to do in the Jewish community they were wealthy and well known in fact Joseph of a a disciple of Jesus secretly because he feared what the Jews might do. But he boldly asked Pilate for the body. Now in 3 hours it had to be done for nothing was to be done on the Sabbath and that started at 6 Friday evening.

Then came Nicodemus who first came to Jesus by night. He had to be wealthy for he brought a 100 pounds of Myrrh and aloes. Now Josephs tomb was near by it was in the garden and they had to hurry for they only had about 3 hours.

Borrowed Tomb

Josephs tomb had never been used. In those days the tomb was a family thing and they would put the dead of the family in the tomb and once they had decade to bone they would put the bones in a smaller box and store them in the tomb. However no one was in Josephs tomb.

Now think about it. Jesus had to die to bring out Joseph and Nicodemus to openly admit Jesus was the real King of the Jews. Because when they did what they did they could loose everything. Thus my question of today is… Are you willing to loose everything for Jesus? Are you willing to die for him?

We read where Christian Missionaries are being killed and the only reason is—is because they are Christian. Our enemy does not want us spreading the word. However what he means for bad our Father will use for good. For I believe there are many Josephs and Nicodemus’ that come alive when Christians are killed.

I believe them dying shows others that they are real loves of our Lord and what he did so we all might live in Heaven with our Father for eternity… Again what are they going to do to me for doing what I am doing “Threaten me with Heaven!” If the worse thing they can do to you is the best thing that could happen to you then what is there to fear but fear itself…

Scripture For Today

Joshua 24:14-15 (NKJV) 14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of [The Euphrates] River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [The Euphrates] River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I pray that this prayer will strengthen some to take a stand for Jesus and what He did for us all. In the precious name of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ I do pray this all–AMEN!
