Morning Prayer why do we do it? Do we do it because it is part of our morning ritual? Do we do it hoping it is enough to get us into Heaven? Maybe even to tell God what we need? OR, do we do it because we actually LOVE our Father and wish to spend time with Him.

Morning Prayer For Saturday May 18, 2019
Today’s Morning Prayer

I vote for the last statement, myself I want to be there to communicate with Him. I love Him and I desire to let Him know it. Do I do it enough no I do not believe so, for it is so easy to get wrapped up in the other stuff around me. I have to watch myself or without even thinking about it I will fall back into my old ways.

We are creatures of habit and we will return if allowed to. One of the hardest things to do is change a habit. We have done it for so long and will return without even thinking about it. You know a simple little thing, in fact I have to laugh about it, My morning coffee, I do not like cold coffee and if I do not watch myself I will get busy typing and let it get cold…

Let us stop today and think about our Father and His Son. How important are they in our lives? I mean do we come to Him in the morning because we actually love Him or is it because we need or want something? Do we do it because we have to or because we want to? Is talking to our Father important to us? You know, I wish I had spent more time with my dad.

I wish we had sat and talked more. I wish I could spend more time with my Father now. I try to stay close all the time, but sometimes I get so wrapped up in what I am doing that I just do not do it. I laugh at myself sometimes I get so far behind that I think I am in front. And it is true I am trying to stop looking at all I have to do and concentrate on just what I am doing and finish that chore before worring about the next one.

Lord give me the strength to do one thing at a time. Give me the will power to only think on the job at hand for looking ahead does nothing but discourage me. To stop and look at what is laid out before me is overwhelming.

Today’s Scriptures

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (MEV) 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy. And you are His temple.

1 Peter 5:7-9 (MEV) 7 Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you. 8 Be sober and watchful, because your adversary the devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him firmly in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

Psalm 139:13-14 (MEV) 13 You brought my inner parts into being; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise you, for You made me with fear and wonder; marvelous are Your works, and You know me completely.

Ephesians 2:10 (MEV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we should walk in them.

Romans 12:1-2 (MEV) 1 I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Our bodies is the Temple of God our bodies is suppose to be our Fathers, a place for Him, a place where He is. It is not ours once saved we are His and we need to listen…

I now pray this in the gracious name of Jesus Christ–AMEN!

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
