The Morning Prayer today is about us trusting our Lord. Do we actually trust Him or do we do it on our own until we are in a mess and then ask Him for help? Do we wake up in the morning and thank Him for allowing us to do so or are we in a hurry to get ready for work?

Morning Prayer For Tuesday May 14, 2019
The Prayer For Today

My whole life I was a night person I played music and lived my life in the dark… However I am now a Christian and I am up 6 days a week writing Sundays and Tuesdays at 5 and the rest of the week at 6. I am not bragging just saying I am here doing what I do each day because this is what I have been called to do.

I used to get up come to the Chapel and read all the things in Facebook and sooner or later start with my prayer. Then I studied about placing other things before our Father and stopped it. However this morning without even thinking about it I went straight to Facebook and started.

The difference is the Holy Spirit and He got after me about my promise. I repent and ask for forgiveness and got to doing what I am to do and that is pray. I made a commitment to not even open Facebook until I had finished the Morning Prayer and I blew it again… Getting better but not there yet.

Lord, we make it so easy to let the enemy sneak right in. Without thinking we let Him in without a word we do not shut the door and lock it. Jesus said if we will open the door for Him He will come in and eat with us and be with us and that is my desire. I wish to walk and talk with Him 24/7.

I was thinking about a statement that a lot of us make about witnessing. Am not good at talking to others, or I don’t know how and on and on. Then a song came to me again.” My Talk Talks and my Walk Walks but my Walk Talks louder than my Talk Talks. You are a witness if you say nothing.

As a Christian we are being watched some are looking for a reason not to follow Jesus, some Christians are watching for us to slip up so they can feel better about themselves. We, as Christians, are being watched all the time so yes we all are witnesses, even if we do not say a word…

Scriptures For Today

John 3:1-2 (MEV) 1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 He came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

Acts 1:8 (MEV) But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Matthew 5:16 (MEV) Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Romans 1:16 (MEV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

John 3:5-8 (MEV) 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Closing Thought

The definition of the Gospel. Is clear to us if we study and do as we are told. I have heard it said I do not have time to sit and read and learn what the Bible says that is why I go to church. First we are the CHURCH not that building and our BIBLE is the owners manual to being a Christian and it is about time that we start using it…

In the precious and wonderful name of Jesus I do pray–AMEN

Spread the love
