New Melody Different Words Same Old Lies

Acts 6:12-14 (NIV) 12 So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin. 13 They produced false witnesses, who testified, “This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law. 14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”

This is then and now, the enemy has not changed same enemy same lie new melody just a new version. The same way of doing it. False witnesses will and do one thing agitate the group and cause a riot. Same story different city. Be it the Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia or Ferguson or Baltimore. Get a few to lie and stir up the rest. It never is about the truth it is about trouble.

Take any riot and you will see it is not about the truth it is about causing a distraction.  Again a new melody same old lies what does breaking a window running a business and grabbing a hand full of CD’s or a few cans of beer, have to do with solving a problem. The owner of that business did not cause the problem. It is about destroying other people’s stuff.

When Jesus was crucified it was not about lies or right or wrong. It was about some people who had it made and did not wish to change. They had the people taking care of them and they did not want to give it up so they instigated a riot. However, it was in the plans of our Father and it is still the plan of our Father. So what the enemy meant for bad did not work out the way he had planned. Jesus still won He still defeated our enemy.

Today I pray that each one that reads this will take it to heart and share it and Gods saving grace. That in spite of what the enemy tries that the truth will win out. Today practice listening to the Holy Spirit and doing as one is told and you will see that our Father will not let you down.
