One More Night With the Frogs

There is a lot of scripture here however I ask that you take the time and read it. For I hope when we are finished it might just help one grow closer to our Lord and our Savior and let go and let God be your Father and daddy take control.

Exodus 8: 1-10 (NIRV) 1 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh. Tell him, ‘The Lord says, “Let my people go. Then they will be able to worship me. 2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3 The Nile River will be full of frogs. They will come up into your palace. You will have frogs in your bedroom and on your bed. They will be in the homes of your officials and your people. They will be in your ovens and in the bowls for kneading your bread. 4 The frogs will be on you, your people and all your officials.

5 Then the Lord spoke to Moses. He said, “Tell Aaron, ‘Reach out your hand. Hold your walking stick over the streams, canals and ponds. Make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

6 So Aaron reached out his hand over the waters of Egypt. The frogs came up and covered the land. 7 But the magicians did the same things by doing their magic tricks. They also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

8 Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron. He said to them, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people. Then I’ll let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “You can have the honor of setting the time for me to pray. I will pray for you, your officials and your people. I’ll pray that the frogs will leave you and your homes. The only frogs left will be the ones in the Nile River.”

10 Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said. Moses replied, “It will happen just as you say. Then you will know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

Now when I read this story, I read it again and again. I read it and then the next night I was speaking at the Salvation Army’s Mens Homeless Shelter. I was not sure what to speak on for this was a rough and tough crowd. So I got there and I thought about it and went for it. However here today I am going to change it up just a little and I think once you have read it you will figure out the change.

So now it is a warm spring morning when you wake up. There is something in the bed with you. You sit up and the first thing you see is frogs all over the bed they are under the sheets they are on and under your pillow. You jump up and your feet hit the floor and there is the frogs. Everywhere there is frogs in the bath room, in the sink, in the shower, the closet. I do mean everywhere the microwave the refrigerator.

You head out the door there they are they are in the car everywhere. Are you getting the picture. Now I come to your job and of course the frogs are all over the place there as well. I say to you OK you have a few of my friends captured and I would like them back. All you have to do is release my friends and I promise you I will get rid of the frogs. Now remember they are everywhere there is no place you can go to get rid of them NO PLACE.

You think about it for a second and say OK I will give them back just get rid of these frogs! I smile and say OK only one more question, when would you like me to get rid of them? Remember now they are everywhere. You stand there for a minute looking at me and say TOMORROW!

That is what Pharaoh did in verse 10. Then it hit me you preach a good sermon or you witness to a lost soul and you ask the question and they say OK I will TOMORROW. Well that is what a lot of Christians are doing with those old memories. They wish to spend One More Night With the Frogs. We need to hang onto that hurt and misery one more night. We want to wait until the very last second to let go of it and follow Jesus. Just one more night and I will stop with the drugs, booze, porn, and the list goes on. Then it happens we don’t know when nor how. A gun shot, a speeding truck, a heart attack and we are gone to late the choice has been made. One More Night With the Frogs has turned into an eternity. Is it really worth it, think about it.

They are supposed to be dead and gone, remember the scripture. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Well then what is the problem. Why do you desire to hang on to them. No one is suffering from them except you. Probably the person that hurt you or did whatever has not even thought about it. However here you sit wanting to spend One More Night With the Frogs.

Are you really happy there, yesterday it was Digging Up Bones today it is One More Night With the Frogs. Think about it do you want to be free do you desire to be like those around you. Then get up and walk away from those old memories, the hurts let go of that pain.  Whatever they are get rid of them forgive or let go or both. Just start the life you are supposed to be living. It is time to let go of the frogs and set yourself free.

I am here to help you anyone that desires it will stay right there it will never be talked about when you lock the door and walk away you throw away the key and the screen is dumped. It is gone over and done no more One More Night With the Frogs

Memory Verse for April 8, 2015

Romans 6:23 (NIV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

1 Corinthians 9:19 [NKJV] For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
