Our Father never said it would be easy however He did say “He would never leave nor forsake us”. We read that in Hebrews 13:5. He has never let me down, yes sometimes I have felt alone and yes I did not get exactly what I prayed for however I received what was needed.

Life as a Christian is not an easy one, sometimes things happen that are hard to swallow and actually do not taste good. I was thinking of Romans 1:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.
Are we, are we really living by faith are we actually trusting God or are we playing like it. We are not promise a bed of roses that everything will go right and that everything will be easy.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall [Or make smooth or straight]direct your paths.
Philippians 4:5-7 (NKJV) 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When forgiveness is not present when the past is staring one in the face. When we feel alone and no one cares. When we try to help and get nothing in return. Living with that is hard. That is when we need to turn to and trust in the scriptures.
We all have had and do have hard times. We feel like the Lord has shut the door, we see people smiling and laughing and we feel like crying. We feel like why am I here, that is when we really need to remember the scriptures that is here today.
Are we trusting the Lord and believing in Him completely? It is easy when things are going right and all is well, however, it is hard when one feels they are alone and the load is heavy remember Luke 9:23 (NKJV) Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
I pray today that this helps others get through a mess or something that has been eating away at you. Our Father is faithful. So let us try this on for size Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
I now pray this all in the most wonderful and precious name I know, Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and our Savior—AMEN!
