Our Place In The Body Of Christ, Do We Understand It

Our place in the body do we really understand it? Have we even thought about it? Are we doing it? Some questions we need to think about and understand. We all have a duty and it is all needed. How small or large is up to our Father.

1 John 3:1 (NKJV) Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

I my Bible this scripture is called “The Commandment Of God” actually the first 3 verses of 1 John are called that. However I would just like to look at just this one today. I take the first statement as a question, “what manner of love the has bestowed on us”. Do we understand whose we are.

I know I have asked this question more than once, however, it is important to understand this for we are the children of the Most Powerful Father in this would and in the universe. Think about it He built it all even that fly that is bothering you. He knows it all and sees it all. Nothing can be hidden from Him, wow and we are His children. STOP AND THINK ABOUT THAT!

We are in this world right now however they have no idea about how we think or what we do. They do not understand us because they do not know Him… It is about time that the world gets to know us. How do they do that? We show them and I think.

However I desire right now to let us see what is being said in Matthew 7:15-20 (NKJV) 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

You will know them by their fruits, we are told to study the word and know it and I feel the reason for this is in these verse for, you will know them by their fruits. That statement is for every Christian from the top of the mountain to the valley. We all are known by our fruits all of us and we need to be careful who we listen to…

I have never done this for riches, praise, or glory. I do it because I wish to see you all one day in Heaven. I am proud to be a Christian and will be even if threatened with death. For the worse thing the world can do to me is the best thing that can happen to me. To die is to gain!

All I am saying is that each of us need to search ourselves and see where we are. Are we serving our Lord and Savior or are we still hung up in this world? Debbie and I are examples of what God can do and does. We have a home, transportation, food, friends and most of all our Lord. We do not live in a mansion. Right now I am driving a borrowed truck.

Do we have needs of coarse we do however I am trusting my Lord and Savior not worrying about what others think for this world is not my home I am only passing through it…

Lord I pray today that what You have showed us will sink in and that we, as the body of Christ, start acting like whose we are. Help us Father understand and to be strong in You. I now pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus—AMEN!
