Pray Without Ceasing The Answer To It All

Pray that is a commandment that has seemed to got lost somewhere in this world today. I do honestly believe that is the answer to it all. We need to pray more and worry and beg less. There are articles and devotionals written almost every day.

We do not write these things because we have nothing else to do. We do it to help the members of the groups grow in Christ. Between the two groups we have approximately. 500 people, the Admin and a few of the others are in both groups so I am going to go to the lesser number just to be safe. However on a good day there may be 15 to 20 people who actually read them. God put me here to teach, and I understand that you can lead a horse to water however you can not make him drink.

I have though and prayed about this for some time now. Then Sunday I posted this verse of the day 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing. And it was time to start writing. We as a people have moved away from our FIRST LOVE. The next thing that I saw was “If you were arrested for being a Christian could they find enough evidence to convict you”? I am asking this question and would like to see some responses. I am not talking about searching for scripture I am talking about do you really know.

Third what if your neighbor or child or another relative knocked on your door and asked you a simple question. I would like to get to know this Jesus you serve. Could you tell them how to get saved?

How many are having problems with a loved one (husband, wife, child or even employee or employer) the list goes on and on and on. Next question how many times a day have you been praying for them? How many times have you prayed for direction? There lies the problem. We need to bathe them in prayer. Then we need to thank God for the answer, remembering that one can lead a horse to water.

A quick story there is a lady in the church I attend, she was there when I started going and is still there. I can remember her praying at the altar (something that is missing in some churches) She prayed for her husband that was not saved did not desire to be and even tried to keep their child out of church. She would bring him when she could. However she always had a smile on her face and greeted you with that smile. Pray she did last year her husband got saved and did a 180 degree turn they are now buying the house they live in she is teaching the children and he helps when needed. That is prayer…

We are in a war with an enemy that is not going away. How many times a day do you pray for that person and I am asking honestly. It is not for me to know it is for me to care and I do. There are wives having problems with husband and husbands with wives. Children that are rebellious family members and even the neighbor next door. Do you care enough to fight for them. Others can pray and help however you are the one in the middle of it. Do you care enough or do you expect someone else to do it for you? We are here to pray with anyone about anything. And I will say we have a few that are here praying no questions asked.
However my question, this time, is Are you praying as well or asking and walking on. The scripture that comes to mind is Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV) 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

There are three steps the first is ASK we need to ask or Father for direction. Second SEEK it read your Bible and find the scripture to stand on. KNOCK and it will be opened to you the hows. God ALWAYS answers the question is are we ready to accept the answer, they are one of three YES, NO, NOT NOW. That is the hard part accepting when God says NO. He does not say no because He is mad either. He knows what is at the end of that road or He knows something better. Our job is to believe.

A couple of simple things when asking for prayer for others:
1 are they Saved yes or no or not sure.
2 what the problem is. Silent request.
3 respond with answer be it praise report or just a getting better responses are good for those praying that there was an answer or the situation is better.

The most import thing is reading your Bible is the most important of all. I can say that will feeling I have been here doing this for going on two years and I read and listen to more than I ever did. It is what I am called to do.
