Fathers House

I thought about our God and today’s world, A large amount of todays quote unquote churches, you know that building on the corner or up on that hill, has been turned into a store of trinkets and stuff. The Pastors are selling their DVDs and CDs we do not have doves or changing money. However the selling of products and collecting the offering or tithe is more important that God. The collecting of the daily offering message is as long as the sermon, I am not sure however I feel God has been replaced with the all mighty dollar.

Let us look at some scripture John 2:13-17 (NKJV) 13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”

Psalm 69:9 (NKJV) Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

We see it in the Old Testament as well in Jeremiah 7:8-11 (NKJV) 8 “Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. 9 Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, 10 and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’? 11 Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord.

It is also found in Matthew 21:12-13 a den of thieves Mark 11:15-18 a den of thieves Luke 19:45-46 a den of thieves

Have we lost the trust of our Father have we become a seeker of money? Has the church just become a money pit and the truth of our Father not heard. I am not saying we should not sell the books that have been written and excreta however I do feel there is a place and a time and My Fathers House is not the place. Let us not get so wrapped up in the merchandise that we forget Who we are to serve.

Memory Verse February 24, 2016

Mark 11:17 (NKJV) Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.
